Just a brief post today to extend a big THANK YOU to everyone that has taken the time to stop by my blog and comment.
I’m so grateful (and humbled) by the generosity you’ve all shown. It also says something that I’ve believed all my life: People are good and everyone just wants to be treated with respect, to be heard and to know that what they have to say matters . I do respect all of you for responding to a blog that has everything to do with just that. Along with kindness, courtesy and a generous spirit. You have encouraged and inspired me — thank you.
I plan to begin exploring many blogs in the next few weeks. I’m so glad everyone got it — the message of “benevolent blogging” and I’m realizing what many of you have stated in your comments — it’s not always possible to reply to every comment. I think I’ve managed to do that. If I didn’t respond to yours, please know it wasn’t intentional, bring it to my attention and trust that I WILL respond.
I’m all about constructive criticism and I’ve learned so much from joining this community. It’s fascinating; the people “out there” from all walks of life. I have followers and “friends” from everywhere now. I’m going to update my blogroll! I hope you’ll visit some of these funny, warm and inspiring bloggers once I do. They inspire me — as all of you have.
I’ve found some new friends now and I hope to be “seeing” you back here at The Banter and visiting you soon.
It’s a gorgeous day here, my two dogs are barking to go for a walk and my thumbs are seriously beginning to cramp. Thank you, happy blogging and have a great weekend, everyone.

In honor of the Disco Queen, Ms. Donna Summer press play below to listen to two of her hits and dance a little, it’s Friday!!
Ha, I’m actually listening to Donna Summer right now at my desk! RIP, Disco Queen.
And thank you for being the Queen of Benevolent Blogging!
You are such a kind soul, MW and thanks so much. Yes, Ms. Summer will be missed!
You definitely deserved the Freshly Pressed honor, and I am in awe of your commenting gusto (answering everyone–you rock!)
Thank you, Charissa. You ROCK too. :).
I really did dance 😀
Yay!!!! ;).
Loving your blog – enjoy your moment in the spotlight! Have a Great Weekend!
Thanks so much. It is nice and appreciate your comment!:).
What a lovely post honey 🙂
Also, bear in mind that people come to your blog because they like YOU! 🙂
Xx
Thank you, Vikki. I hope so!!
Congratulations on being Freshly Pressed! I loved your post on Blogging Etiquette. I’ve been blogging two months and I find that bloggers, in general, are pretty civil folks. I think when people take the time to write a post of a few paragraphs, they learn to appreciate the time and energy others put into their work as well. Thanks for reminding us how important it is to give as well as receive.
Cathy
Hi Cathy, thank you! So glad the post resonated with you. This blogging thing is new to me as well and I think the secret is being who you are and finding your voice. Others will respond. Thanks so much for taking the time and energy to comment–it’s so appreciated. 🙂
Hi Brigette, Where do you get all these neat graphics from? I’m always scared of having the copyright police knocking on my door! Maybe you could do a blog about that lol? I’m just about to walk my two dogs too – I have a chocolate labrador and a border collie. Enjoy your walk, and look forward to reading more from you.
Michelle
From stumbling across some sites that let you use photos. The background of my blog is a painting I did. I need to write a blog about this! Hope you and your sweet pups had a great walk and thanks, Michelle.
Hello, I was also wondering about your lovely graphics but I really stopped by to tell you that I have enjoyed your musings so far and will be back 🙂
Thank you…I’m going to write a post about where I find those and so glad you like them. :).
I want to thank you for a great post. I rarely go to Freshly Pressed, but did so on a whim tonight and discovered you. I have been thinking perhaps I should spend more time and develop my blog. I’ve been blogging for several years, mostly just as a place to park my thoughts more than for anyone else to read, but I’ve been considering branching out a bit, and just switched to Word Press. I appreciated your tips, and definitely agreed with them, though I’m sort of wondering how you manage to respond to each of over six HUNDRED comments! (Congrats on that!! :))
I really like the look of your blog, and I’m wondering how much time you spend on it. Just curious, because I feel like every time I sit down to work on the way mine looks, it eats up half my day!
Hi, thank you. It really took me by surprise and glad you did visit on a whim and took the time to comment — it’s greatly appreciated. I’ve spent alot of time tweaking my blog, learning as I go along. At first, it takes alot of time, but it gets easier the more you do it. It definitely can eat up your day. I think it’s best to set a schedule — say blog 2-3 times a week and stick with that. That’s my plan anyway! Thanks so much.:).
Thanks for the input. I think you’re right–that I need to set up a schedule.
I love the graphics you come up with, and I know how LONG I have spent trying to find appropriate graphics, but coming up empty. I’m also wondering whether it’s a huge benefit to get a paid site–so far mine is just a freebie. Can you change fonts and font sizes with the paid site? That seems to me a glaring lack in mine!
I’m going to write a post about that and yeah, the upgrade thing allows you to do more. The font thing is kind of fiddly, though, you can change the font some but it changes the font on your entire blog as well. Haven’t figured that out yet. Thanks for the comment!
I’m SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!! That’s awesome! But seriously, it was only a matter of time before you were FPd! It’s awesome! Congratulations! Love the post! (this and the fpd one!)
