Monday Musings and Motivations — Brevity — Part Forty-Eight

I’m not very good at brevity as anyone who follows my blog knows, but it is a virture from what I’ve heard.

Sometimes the best things in life don’t require a long, flowery description.  Sometimes, the best moments, alone and shared are when you don’t say a word.  Or write one or type one.

Now before I negate the whole point of this brevity musing/post, I’m leaving you with some random pics and a song to listen to while you’re looking:

What are some of your best “brief” moments?

There is a swatch of gorgeous tree-lined hills I pass by when I take a certain interstate near us. Trees as far as the eyes can see on either side. The view is always lovely, but in the fall, it’s breathtaking. It’s a very brief view–only seen when the interstate takes a short curve, but it fills me with awe every time I see it. Brevity at its best. 🙂

    Love your photos!

It usually is those briefest of statements (whether literary or in nature) that make the most impact. I have to learn this as well with my writing.

I know a thing or two about brevity(smile) and Often get myself in trouble because of it.
I just took a nice long long drive through the winding northwest hills of CT… stopped and walked in the woods. Solitude, rainbow of colors and quiet– lovely and much needed. Enjoyed your wonderful photographs. And thanks again Brigitte. I do appreciate YOU very much. I gots me some good peeps in WP world.

Yes, you do and you do it so well. I bet it is GORGEOUS there. We’ve been to Mystic at that magical time in the Northeast. It is spectacular. Thank you my friend and I appreciate you as well — we go wayyyyy back. You’re the best, Audra.

I tell you, A, I’m not going to miss those long winters. Nope. And you’re welcome to my neck of the woods anytime. Today, it’s sunny, 70s and no humidity! It’s coming up on the perfect time of year here.

My brevity moment right now: London. Enough said.

The photos are fantastic. Sometimes pictures really are worth more words than we can hope to string together, aren’t they? Wishing you a good rest of the week. 🙂

Peggy’s smile, the first bite of really good ice cream, morning mist in the forest that surrounds our home…

It was sunny and in the 70s over here, too, today, Brig … But that will change in the weeks ahead. Lovely images!

    Hi Brig,
I loved the photos! The bocce balls were really fun, nice reflection in them of a hazy sun and soft shadows! I think my blog is mostly brief, these days…but seriously, being in nature is my favorite place to be quiet and not talk. Peter and I will hike for several miles without saying a word – and it’s a great partnership!

in my job I sometimes write something called “Council briefs” and when it shows up in the newspaper I always smile–it is my own private joke–sometimes I call them “Council shorts” — it does not take much to entertain me
    your photos were absolutely beautiful

Sometimes simple is sublime. Lovely photos, Brigitte, and I hope you’re taking some time to enjoy those simple moments.
